Carve SOS in the snow

by The Daily Evidence
Early in 2008, a couple were snowboarding in New Mexico when they became lost in a snow storm. They had a cell phone to call for help, but decided not to because they were experienced hikers. They believed they could save themselves. They built a shelter in the snow and spent the night huddled together in the freezing conditions. The next morning they realized that they were not going to be able to make it alone, so they called for help, and then they carved an SOS in the snow. Had they not forsaken their own efforts, they certainly would have perished.

Most of humanity huddles together in this cold world, thinking that they are going to save themselves. They trust in their own religious works. It is only when they realize that their hope of saving themselves is hopeless, that they will humble themselves and call upon the name of the Lord. May God help them to understand this, and that time is running out.
Psalm 86:5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
